West Rangá river is one of the better-known salmon rivers in Iceland.
It has what most anglers dream of, plenty of different pools, beautiful scenery and a lot of salmon.
Prime time for West Rangá river is late July until mid-August. The opening day usually gives us a few salmon, but this year was different. No less than 35 salmon were caught on the opening day, 25 in the morning and 10 in the evening.
The sizes were quite impressive too.
Here you can see few photos from the opening day.
There are a few days still available for the summer if you would like to join us fishing this wonderful river. Here you can read more about it and see pictures: WEST RANGA RIVER
