Brennan, 3 rod beat in West Iceland

Brennan Junction pool

Here are few pictures from last week's fishing at Brennan junction pool. Brennan is located in West Iceland, about 1 hours drive from Reykjavik. It is the junction pool of Thverá and Hvítá rivers, located close to Straumar junction pool of Nordurá and Hvítá.

Fishing in Brennan has been really good this year with about 440 salmon caught on 3 rods this season and a lot of Sea trout.

Brennan is a good choice for many anglers, it suits families and groups who want good fishing on a private beat just for themselves.

There are 4 bedrooms + sleeping loft in the two cottages.

This young man caught his first salmon on the tour. In Iceland we call the first salmon a Mary salmon and we are supposed to bite the back fin off the fish for future fishing luck. This one did not need any encourgagement but was not too happy with the taste of it.
