The prime time for goose hunting in Iceland is starting now and will continue through October or mid-November.
Goose hunting starts early morning before sunrise and ends around noon, so our guests have free time in the afternoon. Many go on a sightseeing tour, go duck hunting or just relax, but a very good and fun option is to go out sea angling for few hours.
Here is what a suggested 3 day tour looks like:
Day 1Arrive in Iceland. Our driver collects you at the airport and takes you shopping for supplies then to a nice apartment near the hunting grounds. In the afternoon you meet your guide and together check on the hunting grounds to decide on how you set up the decoys.
Day 2Start very early in the morning, guide takes you to hunting grounds and hunt until noon. Lunch and then sea angling for a few hours. Dinner made out of freshest ingredients possible.
Day 3Hunt in the morning Sightseeing in the afternoon
Day 4Hunt in the morning, lunch then pack and leave for Reykjavik. Nice dinner and overnight stay in Reykjavik
Day 5Most flights leave Iceland early morning. Driver takes you to the airport. If you are flying to the US, you could depart in the afternoon on day 4.
