There is salmon all over Iceland

Have you booked your fishing trip in Iceland already?

Most of the salmon rivers open around June 20th and it looks like we are going to have record year. All rivers are opening with numbers that we have not seen before and we are mostly catching 2 sw Salmon so if you see a person in Iceland looking like he/she is walking on air and smiling with their whole body, it is likely thatthey just landed a big salmon or two.

Laxá in Kjos opened yesterday and they caught 13 salmon during the first hours with only 6 rods, which is something we haven't seen before. Laugardalsá river opened yesterday and the first salmon was caught right away. Straumfjardará river opened yesterday with 9 fish caught for the first day, with only 3 rods. East Rangá has been on fire these last weeks and Thverá and Kjarrá are doing really good with close to 200 salmon caught and the river is almost full of fish.

We think this will be the year to visit Iceland.
