2016 has not been a good year for anglers. The salmon came earlier than ever before so most of the opening parties were absolutely amazing and even some of the best days of the summer. Then we had a drought, no rain for nearly the whole summer.

Late August it finally started to rain again especially in West-Iceland. It worked for the most dry rivers and anglers could smile again. Now it has rain occasionally and fishing has been good when water level is good, but it goes down quickly. There has been good fishing late summer for example in Laxá in Dolum and Midfjardará river.
