Trout and char fishing in the mid highlands of Iceland
You may know that in Iceland during summer we have 24 hours of daylight, this can come in handy when you are thirsty for fishing and want to spend as much time fishing as possible.
Fishing at the mid highlands of Iceland is a very interesting option. There is a lot of trout and char there, endless lakes and rivers between them. There is quite some walking required but you can easily spend a week fishing different water the whole time.
It is good to have 1 guide per 1 - 4 anglers and an ideal time to spend up there is 2 - 4 days. You will stay in dry, warm but very basic huts on the highland. Most anglers eat freshly caught fish every night prepared on the bbq.
