Fishing in the Lower Ranga

Fishing in the Lower Ranga

Anglers have had many adventures in the Lower Ranga which is known for being full of life. The Lower Ranga is the lowest part of both East and West Ranga rivers, the East Bank, it is also known as Holsa river.

The stretch is about 20 km long and goes from the junction of Thvera/East Ranga, through the junction of East/West Rangá and towards the sea. All the salmon of East and West Rangá rivers goes through Lower Ranga, that counts about 50.000 salmon.

The fishing lodge is one of the finest in Iceland. With 6 twin, ensuite bedrooms, large sitting/dining room, a large veranda, good tackle store and a hot tub.

The Lower Ranga is located about 90 min drive from Reykjavik and is both suitable for day tours as well as longer tours. All tours are custom made for each angler.
