Laxa river in Dolum is one of the best and most productive salmon rivers in Iceland, but the average catch per rod is higher than on many other rivers. It is a medium sized, 4-6 rod river and is easily accessible. The river is about 25 km long so there is a plenty of space for each angler. The character of the river ranges from faster rocky water in the upper reaches to long smoother flowing stretches in the lower part.

Laxa river in Dolum is a fly only river and anglers must release all salmon 70 cm ad larger. Anglers are allowed to take 1 grilse per rod per shift.


Laxa rvier in Dolum is located in West Iceland, approx. 2 hours from Reykjavik.


The lodge is full catering and comfortable with a view over the river. There are 6 ensuite bedrooms, each rod has a private twin bedroom. There is a nice and comfortable sitting room with a view over the river, as well as a nice dining area. Anglers can also relax in the sauna.
