Lower Ranga

Lower Ranga

The last days have been great at Lower Ranga, we are catching 15-20 salmon pr day, only 6 rods and prime time is not here yet. in most years first two weeks of August is the high season for the Ranga system. We have available 3 rods 5-7 August and 1 rod 7-10 August,

The Lower Ranga also called the East Bank or Holsa river, is the lowest part of the famous East and West Ranga rivers. The stretch is about 20 km long and goes from the junction of Thvera/East Ranga, thorugh the junction of East/West Ranga and towards the sea.

All the salmon of East and West Ranga rivers goes through the Lower Ranga. Or about 50.000 salmon. Anglers are mainly fishing for salmon, but there is a good sea trout after mid-August. The largest sea trout caught was 18 lbs.

The Lower Ranga holds many fun fishing spots and good variety of fishing opportunities. The surroundings are beautiful.
