Lower East Rangá
Lower East Rangá is the last 8 km of East Rangá until it meets West Rangá river. Most anglers who know anything about the fishing in Iceland have heard about the Rangá rivers. They are in the top seats of Icelandic rivers in terms of a number of salmon caught every season.
Lower Rangá is 8 km long, a charming fishing area with only 6 rods privately fishing the area. There is a very nice lodge by the river that anglers can choose to have self-catered or we arrange for a chef to come in and prepare meals.
Primetime is from appr. July 20 to August 20 and it is fair to expect 1 - 3 salmon per rod per day though on a good day people have the chance of catching a lot more than that.
The fishing in Lower Rangá is probably the salmon fishing in Iceland that we could call the the best value for money. Great productive fishing for a reasonable price (Iceland standard)
