Salmon and trout fishing in June

Iceland Outfitters offers a combo fishing trip in Iceland in June.

Guided salmon and trout fishing trip. Fish for salmon in the South West and for trout up on the North coast of Iceland.

Your journey starts in Borgarfjordur fjord, the place where Iceland was first recognized internationally for its splendid salmon fishing. There we fish two junction pools on Hvítá river, called Straumar and Brennan. From there we drive up north and fish the famous Great Laxá river, where we spend 3-4 days fishing for Brown trout in one of the best Brown trout rivers in Iceland (and maybe even worldwide)

Day 1 salmon fishing.

Your guide picks you up in Reykjavik around noon, stopping at a local tackle shop if needed and a supermarket to buy supplies for the first two days. Fishing is from 16.00 to 22.00. Dinner and accommodation at the fishing lodges by Straumar/Brennan

Day 2 salmon fishing.

Fishing from 7.00 to 13.00 and 16:00 to 22:00

Day 3 salmon fishing/Trout fishing

Fishing from 7.00 to noon. We pack our things and drive north in time to start fishing for trout in the afternoon until evening.

Day 4-5 Trout fishing

Fishing from 7.00 to 13.00 and 16:00 to 22:00

Day 6 Trout fishing/ drive back to Reykjavik

Fishing until noon and then drive back to Reykjavik/Keflavik. Arriving in the evening.
