Trout fishing season in Iceland finally here!

April 1st was the first day of fishing in Iceland for trout, Arctic char and Sea trout. The fishing started quite well even though it was still freezing and not the best weather.

Our good friends, the guides Þorsteinn Stefánsson and Heiðar Valur Bergmann were lucky enough to get the chance to open Varmá river and they had good fishing even though the weather was giving them a hard time. Together they caught 12 fish and some quite good sized ones.

We have available rods in Varmá river for those who need to get out. Varmá trout river is located within 30 min drive from Reykjavik which makes it a perfect river for day tours.
