Holaá river is one of the most popular day tours fishing locations in southern Iceland. It is located only approx. 45 min from Reykjavik, which makes it very convenient. Holaá river is a productive river where you fish for trout and arctic char.

The nature around Holaá river is very interesting, there are many hot water that comes up from the grounds, and in some places local people use the heat to bake bread in the grounds. All this warm water ends up in Holaá river and warms it up – which makes the conditions for the fish better.

Holaá river is located close to Laugarvatn village. There are many interesting things to see and do nearby.
