West Rangá River is open!

We opened the West Rangá River on the 20th of June, and the river has been outstanding. The first two days produced 25 salmon on 12 rods, and West Rangá has been producing fish every day since then.

The atmosphere by the bank has been electric, and the fish are well scattered among the pools, which is a great sign. The average size of the salmon is around 72 cm at the moment, and the largest fish caught so far measured 96 cm. The biggest fish we know of was measured at 101 cm and was recently recorded by the fish counter a few days ago.

West Rangá River is in very good condition — water height and temperatures are normal, and the grilse run is just around the corner.
