West Ranga
Brown Trout Beat
Upper part of West Ranga is known for super BIG Brownies. Trout Beat is about 30km of double banks fishing, with a mix of flat pools, pockets and fast water pools. This is one of the few places in Iceland where you can catch 10 pounder Brown trout. In the autumn is a good change to catch Salmon as well

12 hours a day, 6 hours in the morning and 6 in the afternoon/evening. - Recommended flies:
All kind of streamers with white ,black, yellow, orange colors. Salmon: red and black frances, sunray shadow and all small flies. - Recommended tackles:
Single hand rod, 9-10 foot, floating sink tip or sinking line 7-8 weight.
